Simulation games are getting more and more innovative and immersive and "Satisfactory" hits the perfect note for players who like factories and mass production lines.

This particular open-world factory building simulation game will test players' engineering and organization skills to the limits. Newcomers may feel a bit overwhelmed when they are just starting in "Satisfactory" due to how much they can actually do.

This beginner's guide provides some useful tips and tricks that will help people who are new to "Satisfactory" know how to start. Following good early-game advice can spell the difference between having to restart your game or building your dream factory empire.

Start on Rocky Desert

The game has a very big static map that you can sometimes get lost in if you are not careful about where you are going. "Satisfactory" gives players several areas to start at when making a fresh playthrough.

While the default location for the game is the Grassy Fields, it is highly recommended to start with the Rocky Desert. This is because this area has the best resources in the early game that will make your progression go by faster, according to IGN.

Explore Before Settling Down

Another useful thing to do before you hunker down and settle on a particular spot is to explore more of the world. You will always have the chance to move your Hub to a better location if you feel dissatisfied with where it is.

This means you can set your Hub down where there are plenty of resources to take advantage of the area's benefits. You should explore and look for locations that have pure nodes that can output much more mined resources than impure.

Carefully Set Up Your Power Grid

One common mistake that newcomers make in "Satisfactory" is setting up their Power Grid haphazardly. Power Poles are what you use to transport electricity that comes from fuel generators to whatever building needs it, Game Rant said.

Even at the early game, you should think ahead and develop a proper system for your Power Grid to make scaling your Hub easier. It is recommended to build all of your Power Generators in one location so you can feed them fuel at the same time.

Avoid Using Tractors

While it may be tempting to make use of tractors to transport materials, this is something that you should generally avoid. The main reason for this is that these vehicles are slow, need fuel, and are unstable.

The recommended alternative is a Truck but it is much better to try and travel by yourself or invest in one of the two jetpack variants available in "Satisfactory." Another method is to use your flying drones as a sort of hoverboard to get around.

Don't Always Overclock

Overclocking in the game is done with the use of gadgets acquired from Power Slugs that can increase any machine's output up to three times. While this is a very useful thing, it also means that the machine you use it on will use up more power than normal.

You should only overclock a machine if you really need to and have sufficient power to comply with the increased demand. Going overboard could result in accidentally tripping your Power Grid, according to The Gamer.
