Sherwood Extreme is now available on PC via Steam Early Access. This free-to-play crossbow shooter offers some interesting features like bullet-time and over-the-top co-op action. For those wondering, a console version is being planned but only for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. These versions will be launched sometime in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Key features of the game include:

- Get to use a bunch of items like zip-lines, swinging ropes, bouncy mushrooms, and even cannons to move across the map.
- Team Up in Co-op
- Get to work with and complete challenges.
- Try to master thousands of level variants to get to the top of the leaderboards.
- Loot Treasure
- Collect shinies to unlock outfits, weapons, and challenges.
- Laugh in Danger's Face
- Fight across the Sherwood kingdom and discover some silly secrets.
- Earn higher scores by destroying goblins in the most ridiculous way possible.
Even in early access, Sherwood Extreme already debuted its Kingdom Pass for Season One. Available for 500 CAGE coins, around $5, it allows owners to unlock several items and exclusive quests. The first season's theme is pirates.
In a post, CAGE Studios Game Director and co-founder Salaar Kohari said that this is going to be a good time to earn a place on the leaderboard. Kohari added that there are many ways to synergize with a partner and they are excited to see how everything plays out.
CAGE co-founder Gabriel Langlois revealed that the game presents players with numerous possibilities. He continued that they’re even challenging speedrunners to try out this game.
