SimGuruSteph and SimGuruJM jumped on Twitch to do a quick stream of the new Sims 4 expansion pack, City Living. The two producers focused on the penthouse apartment in the Fashion District and the affordable 4-unit apartment building in the Spice Market. We also got our first look at the San Myshuno world map. Take a look:
Here’s 5 more features we learned in the live stream.
- Your Sims will interact with neighbors a lot in the common areas while they post notes on the bulletin board, check their male, get rid of trash and take the elevator. Sims will visit your apartment for a variety of different reasons depending on their personality traits. For example, active Sims will come ask you to workout with them, and foodie Sims may come over if they smell you cooking something delicious.
- Each lot has three lot traits. Choose from a long list of new traits like sunny, home studio, good schools, romantic aura, filthy, party place, fast internet, haunted, great acoustics, chef’s kitchen and gremlins.
- Duplicate stairs, rooms, and roofs with the new ‘copy’ shortcut in build mode.
- Penthouses don't have to be residential. You can build a bar, store or whatever you want if you won penthouse property.
- There are loads of new objects and create-a-sim features like sleeve tattoos, high waisted pants, and flowy shirts for men. New objects include a super high tech toilet that talks to your sims via hologram and a karaoke machine that introduces a new Singing skill (now you can sing in the shower). The new video game console allows up to 4 players, you can even play online. There’s huge new curved flat screen TV and geometric coffee table to go with it.
