Welcome to San Myshuno, a mountainous coastal city with lots to explore. There are new places to live and visit, festivals to attend and more career paths to climb. Today’s trailer is likely the first of many teasers EA will unveil before The Sims 4: City Living releases Nov. 3 worldwide and Nov. 1 in North America. We know far from all there is to know about this new expansion pack, but here’s what The Sims team has officially revealed so far in the press release.
**Update: Follow this link for a complete list of over 50 features in City Living***
There’s no City Living without apartments. What types to choose from? All your options remain to be seen. We know for sure there will be a large penthouse with a grassy terrace and rooftop pool. Every apartment building has a landlord, which means late-night parties and loud music are a no-go. Don’t think you can go knocking down walls either. You’ll probably get kicked out. Expect loads of new gameplay to go along with this new style of living, including cockroaches, leaky pipes, blackouts, and difficulties getting along with neighbors.
With cities come new places to visit and cool things to see. Head over to shoot some hoops at the public basketball courts, or grab a bite to eat at one of the many new food stands in The Spice Market. Practice your singing skills at the neighborhood Karaoke bar. There will be five types of new festivals in total, but so far we only know of three: Geek Con, Spice Festival and the Romance festival. Light fireworks and particpate in the 'Curry Challenge' eating contest.
Three new career paths are included with City Living: Social Media, Critic and Politician. Origin's pre-order page also teases the Arts Quarter, Fashion District, and Uptown as three additional neighborhoods within San Myshuno. Enjoy new objects like video games and a talking toliet. Stay tuned for more information in the coming week. Check out the official Sims announcement here.
