This year has been amazing for gamers, especially for PC players. Several amazing titles like A Plague Tale: Requiem, Elden Ring, and Sifu have hit the shores of Microsoft Windows. However, most offerings came from a console producer.
It’s no secret that for the last few years Sony has started releasing its first-party titles on PC. Previously, we received Horizon Zero Dawn and Days Gone, but this year we received six first-party games.
God of War – January 14
God of War (2018) is arguably the best PS4 game released on PC early this year. As you would expect, the title received critical reception on Steam as well. Sony released the game at the perfect time as now many PC players are interested in playing its sequel God of War Ragnarök.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered – August 12
The announcement of the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered came as a surprise because it wasn’t mentioned in last year’s Nvidia GeForce Leak. Nixxes Software was in charge of the PC port and did an incredible job at it. It was also the first Sony game on PC priced at $59.99.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection – October 19
Okay, I am cheating a little bit here. I counted Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection as two games because of what it actually contains. Sony may have sold this product as one, but it does feature two amazing games. LOTC gives players remasters of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Fans waited almost a year for its PC port as it was officially announced in October 2021.
Sackboy: A Big Adventure – October 27
Thanks to several previous leaks, everybody knew that Sackboy: A Big Adventure was coming to PC. However, we never could have guessed its release date. Sony launched Sackboy on PC just one week after Uncharted: LOTC. Maybe, that’s the reason the platformer game isn’t doing so well on Steam.
Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales – November 18
The PC version of Miles Morales was confirmed along with Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered but its release was later in the year. The recently launched spin-off title had an incredible port but it didn’t have the same success as the base game. The biggest criticism is its $49.99 price tag.
So, what do you think? Are you interested in any of these games? Which other Sony games do you want on PC? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
