Reply Game Studios recently released Update 1.0.3 for Soulstice, which brought plenty of improvements and bug fixes, especially on PC.
Soulstice is a third-person action game where you play as a Chimera - a hybrid warrior born out of the souls of two sisters, Briar and Lute. Together, they’re tasked to reclaim a city ravaged by feral creatures known as Wraiths. This game features a diverse combat system that is somewhat similar to Devil May Cry.
Anyway, Soulstice now supports AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 1.0 technology aka AMD FSR. This is a rendering technique where frames are rendered at a lower resolution and then upscaled using a spatial algorithm to make the game appear as though it’s running at a higher resolution. In other words, AMD FSR unlocks your GPU’s full potential to help boost frame rates and deliver better image quality.
Update 1.0.3 also includes a bunch of new features like a new setting that allows you to customize the frame rate during cinematics, and an option that automatically advances all story dialogues so that you can get right into the action.
In terms of bug fixes, the issue where certain character names are revealed way too early, thus causing story spoilers, has been fixed. You can read the other things implemented in this patch below:
- (Windows Only) Added an option that allows players to choose between different controller icon mapping (i.e. Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5)
- Improved behavior of auto camera lock with possessed enemies: now the lock will automatically switch to a wraith when spawned from the possessed enemy
