The release of Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Switch is two weeks away. However, you don't need to wait that long to try the game. Everyone has the chance to try it out during the Splatoon 3: Splatfest World Premiere happening tomorrow, August 27.
The event is divided into two parts. From 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, you get your turf versus one team at a time. Then from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET, everybody gets to test the new Splatfest Tricolor Turf War battles. This is a new 4v2v2 format, which is sure to offer a new type of colorful chaos to the game.
In addition to the new Splatfest Mode, the demo also includes:
- Get to chance to use 26 weapons
- Target turf with the brand-new Tri-Stringer with its explosive arrows
- Make a splash with the iconic Splattershot
- Steamroll the competition with the Splat Roller
- Test Range
- Practice using weapons before you join the battle.
- Rep your team by sharing messages and art that others can see in the square
To join, players need to have a Nintendo Switch Online membership. Those without a membership can download the demo from the Nintendo eShop and receive a free seven-day trial of the subscription service.
Pax West 2022
Fans can also head over to PAX West in Seattle from September 2 to September 5. The Nintendo Splatoon 3 booth is set to provide the perfect environment for in-game splatting along with real-life photo opportunities.
Those able to visit the booth get the chance to play the demo of the game's multiplayer Turf War battles. This one has multiple teams of four competing to ink the most area on the map within three minutes. This is a good opportunity whether you're a veteran or new to the series. To play the game at the Nintendo Booth, fans need to have a Warp Pipe Pass. Register here for the chance to reserve a free Warp Pipe Pass. Registration ends August 29 at 2:59 a.m. ET.
