The next Star Wars Battlefront DLC launches April 5, later than the original date as March. The Outer Rim expansion was shown on GameStop’s website and will cost $14.99 or $49.99 for the whole season pass. Walmart is offering a discount on it, and Gold Xbox Live members can get $5 off.

The Outer Rim expansion has some of the dumbest characters to ever be featured in a playable role. You can play as Greedo, the green guy whose only screen time has him getting shot. Then there's Nien Nunb, the fish lipped alien that co-piloted the millennium falcon when Chewbacca was busy. Even after staring at Nien’s picture for a few minutes, I had no idea who he was and I consider myself a pretty big Star Wars fan. I know they don’t want to use all the good characters on the first expansion, but at least give us someone of value. I’d take Admiral Ackbar yelling “it’s a trap” over and over before I’d want to play as any of these Z-listers.

I’m a fan of Jabba the Hutt’s palace, which will be one of the new playable maps. Jabba was one of my favorite characters in the original Star Wars, I guess I relate to a giant sleazy gangster slug. I’m excited to be able to shoot up his palace, diving behind Jabba’s hookah set and his laughing monkey pet. Sullust is the other map where the fight between Obi-Wan and Anakin took place in Episode 3. You know that one place that was covered in lava and gave us one of the few interesting moments of the prequels?

There are also some guns and a new Extraction mode, but at this point you’re either getting it cause you have the Season Pass or forgotten Star Wars Battlefront even exists.
