Luke Skywalker popping up at the end of Star Wars: Episode 7 The Force Awakens was the perfect way to cap the world’s reintroduction to Star Wars after years of drowning in Gungans and Trade Federation idiots. That last shot sent shivers up enough spines to power a million popcorn machines. But admit it: part of you really wanted to see Luke Skywalker chop some stormtroopers in half and Force push General Hux off a cliff. According to Daisy Ridley, who returns as Rey in Episode 8, we are in store for an abundance of Skywalker riches in the next movie.

Interviewed by MTV News on the 2016 Oscars red carpet, Daisy Ridley had this to say about Rey and Luke in Episode 8:

“Me and Mark have been rehearsing a lot, it’s really amazing because when we went back to Skellig to do the opening of VIII, it was so crazy doing the same scene with a different crew of people, but he’s amazing to rehearse with and I’m very excited to do the rest of the stuff. It’s such a good story, seriously, Luke is so cool in this one, really!”

Sure, this is about what we’re expecting from Star Wars: Episode 8, but it’s nice to hear that Luke Skywalker—the main character of the Original Trilogy—will finally get more screentime than Admiral Ackbar.
