The Legends of Tomorrow cast seems to be getting larger as a new report from Comicbook.com confirms Connor Hawke will be appearing on the spin-off series of The Flash and Arrow .

According to the report, following TV Line’s scoop that Warner Bros. was looking to cast a black or biracial male who “decides to put on the uniform of a missing hero who once stood for justice and hope,” Comicbook.com investigated who this casting call was for and their sources have pointed to Connor Hawke.

There’s also an interesting tidbit that Comicbook.com added that sort of changes Connor Hawke’s origins in Legends of Tomorrow . Here it is:

“Beyond confirmation, Warner Brothers offered no other details beyond his appearance on the show, but did say that this iteration of Hawke will not be the son of Oliver Queen and Sandra Hawke.”

In the comics, Connor Hawke is the son of Oliver Queen and his college girlfriend Sandra Hawke who is half black and half Korean. Connor would end up taking the mantle of his father when Oliver was thought dead and is a master martial artist and archer.

However, in the DC television universe it’s been teased for a few seasons that Oliver does have a son and it was covered up by Oliver’s mother, Moira. And from Warner Bros. admission that this Connor Hawke will be different from the comics so it is likely that this is another Earth’s Connor.

But with a 2016 release of Legends of Tomorrow, fans will have some time to find out what the deal with Connor Hawke is.

In the meantime, we want to hear from you. What do you think of this iteration of Connor? Do you still hope for a traditional Connor Hawke to appear on Arrow? Sound off in the comments section below.
