The first part of the upcoming Digimon Adventure Tri anime is releasing in Japanese theaters soon -- but to drive up more hype for the 15th anniversary project, the official Digimon Adventure website has put up a brand new trailer.
The new Digimon Adventure Tri trailer gave not just some extra footage of the upcoming six-part anime, it actually let fans hear what the Digidestined will sound like. And if you don’t think it’s significant, these are the original Digidestined and they are in High School now.

The voice cast for the Digidestined has a lot of new additions and according to Anime News Network , the new video show the familiar characters from the first Digimon series reuniting for "a new adventure that has been set in motion now." The videos end with the tagline, "Now, the adventure Digivolves again…"
Speaking of the voice cast for the human characters in Digimon Adventure Tri. It is completely different from the original series, and includes:
Natsuki Hanae as Taichi Yagami
Suzuko Mimori as Sora Takenouchi
Yoshimasa Hosoya as Yamato Ishida
Mutsumi Tamura as Kōshirō Izumi
Hitomi Yoshida as Mimi Tachikawa
Junya Ikeda as Jō Kido
Junya Enoki as Takeru Takaishi
MAO as Hikari Yagami
And if you look closely at the new Digimon Adventure Tri trailer, there are two new human characters never before seen. According to the website, Daigo Nishijima is a part-time teacher who serves as a substitute homeroom teacher. He’s the male character you see.
The new female character is Maki Himekawa, a mysterious woman who appears before the DigiDestined.
The first part of the Digimon Adventure Tri anime is set to release in Japanese theaters on Nov. 21.
