Capcom had a major presence at this year’s New York Comic-Con. If you attended, you couldn’t help but notice the people lining up to play and watch the latest build of Street Fighter V along with Mega Man Legacy Collection , Resident Evil Zero HD and Umbrella Corps.

It was one of the biggest booths of the show and there wasn’t a moment where it had fans lining up to get their hands on the latest games from Capcom .

Fortunately, iDigitalTimes got to play the games featured at New York Comic-Con and got some insight into what makes the games great from Capcom representatives present at the show.

We cover Street Fighter V extensively and we got to play the first build at E3 2015 and a few months later, the classic fighting franchise has changed quite a bit.

As Alicia Kim, senior director of public relations for Capcom, told us that the build at New York Comic-Con 2015 would be a different experience and she was right.

The controls feel more smooth than the E3 build or even the first beta that released weeks ago. Even if you aren’t accustomed to a fight stick, like myself, you got a good feel as to how the eventual console controls will work and after some time you can be confident enough to perform some killer combos and special attacks.

With the announcement of Laura as the latest character to join Street Fighter V, the roster has a good mix of different fighting styles. From the grappling Zangief to the quick striking Karin or the very mobile Vega, fans will have their choice of fighters and fighting styles.

I got to play as Karin, Ken and Mika and while they are all strikers and I tend to play with a suffocating fighting style, they all felt different and I had to adjust on the fly. Out of the fighters I chose, Ken was definitely the most mobile on the ground and in the air but Mika wasn’t as mobile so I had to change up my fighting style.

A fighting game should give you a sense of diversity in the fighters and Street Fighter V does so very well.

V-Triggers and V-Skills do come into play a lot in Street Fighter V if you understand what each character’s does. The Capcom representative that would fight media members showed off Zangief’s V-Skill very well and it helped him eek out some victories.

Once the game comes out in 2016, it’ll be fun to really dive into what makes each fighter’s special skills can really allow them to do and the fighting styles that will form from them.

Overall, the latest build of Street Fighter V feels so close to a complete game. Of course, Capcom will continue to polish the game so that it becomes the Mortal Kombat X of 2016 and I for one look forward to it.
