There is now less than one week to go until the premiere of one of the most anticipated movies of the year - Deadpool. The Merc With a Mouth is back with his first solo installment, which has early audiences raving ahead of the film’s release. Though Deadpool is billed as an action-comedy, the conspicuous timing of opening night has many couples planning on an unconventional Valentine's date to say the least. To those ladies (or men!) out there with second thoughts on watching a snarky mercenary crack skulls on the day of love, have no fear! Deadpool himself is here to convince you that his movie is the perfect date flick.

A new teaser starring a suited up Ryan Reynolds released on Friday night, exactly one week ahead of the arrival of Deadpool. “DP” is here to talk about “VD,” and as he quickly points out - he’s not talking about venereal disease. The Merc with a Mouth ends his argument with his trademark brand of raunchy language. For the most part, Deadpool’s marketing team has been doing an excellent job putting together these brief snippets of Reynolds advertising the film in a hilarious way. It’s hard to see it not being effective, and the first major blockbuster of the year should go on to rack up box office sales along with the critical acclaim it's received thus far.
