Psyonix and Twitch have partnered together to create the Rocket League Championship Series . Rocket League has risen in popularity since introducing the concept of “soccer but in cars”last July. On March 25, teams of three can sign up to participate for a prize pool of over $75,000. All matches will be played on the PS4 or PC, with additional support for the Xbox One to be added later. Rocket League has become one of Twitch’s most streamed games, and has been downloaded over five million times on PC alone.

The RLCS will span three months, and contain players from North America and Europe. Each month there will be an open qualifier, and on the last week an online final will be played with $10,000 on the line. The finals will be held at an international live event and will have a grand prize pool of $55,000.

“ Twitch and its streamers have been an instrumental part of our success since we launched last July, and that made them a perfect match for us,” Jeremy Dunham, Vice President of Psyonix said in a press release “We couldn't be more thrilled to be working with a team that we respect as highly as we do Twitch, and we can't wait to show the world what we can do in esports together! ”

All playoffs will be streamed at twitch.tv/RocketLeague
