And we’re not sure if you heard yet but there’s a whole lot of collectables to recover in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

On this page, we’ve rounded up details on where Metal Gear fans can find the entire collection of music cassette tapes scattered across the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain campaign. We’ve tried to avoid spoilers where possible but it’s important to remember you’re reading a guide that’s intended for players at various points of the Metal Gear Solid V campaign. Afghan Lullaby

  • This cassette is located in Wakh Sind Barracks. Find the unfinished building and head down to the basement to recover “Afghan Lullaby”

All The Sun Touches

  • This tape can be found at Munoko ya Nioka Station

Behind The Drapery

  • This tape is hidden in the very first camp that players are sent to. Without getting into spoilers, the second recoverable cassette can be found in the room directly below the primary mission objective.

Dancing With Tears In My Eyes

  • This tape can be found in Ditadi Abandoned Village, underneath a canopy

Dormant Stream

  • This tape can be found in the west guard station at Smasei Fort

The Final Countdown

  • This cassette from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is found in Sakhra Ee Village. The tape can be found in a small building just west of the village.

Friday I’m In Love

  • This tape can be found in Lufwa Valley, inside the manion

Gloria

  • This tape is found at Nova Braga Airport, in the eastern-most building

Heavens Divide

  • This tape can be recovered during Mission 30, in the elevator just before you encounter Skull Face.

How ‘bout Them Zombies, Ey?

  • This cassette can be found at Bwala ya Masa, in a building on the east side of the site

Kids In America

  • This tape from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can be found in Da Shago Kallai; the area that plays host to the game’s third story mission. Work your way towards the main camp, find the Spetsnaz commander’s night post and the cassette should be within eyesight.

Koi No Yoku Shiryoku (Love Deterrence)

  • This tape is located in Da Ghwandai Khar, near the area where you saved a friend in the game’s first episode. Head back to the room where he was kept prisoner and you should be able to spot the fourth tape near the door.

Love Will Tear Us Apart

  • This tape is found at the Afghanistan Central Base Camp

Maneater

  • This tape is found at Lamar Khaate Palace, inside the tent near the front of the palace

The Man Who Sold The World

  • The first recoverable music cassette in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is given to players for completing the Prologue. Just get through the first series of events in MGSV and claim your prize.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker Theme

  • This cassette can be recovered in the cellar of the quarantine platform visited during Mission 43

Midnight Mirage

  • This tape can be found at Bampeve Plantation, in the building at the northern end of the site

Nitrogen

  • This cassette can be found at Serak Power Plant, in the building at the northernmost end of the plant

Only Time Will Tell

  • This tape can be found inside the Eastern Communications Post, visited during “C2W”. Find the communications building and “Only Time Will Tell” is yours.

A Phantom Pain

  • This cassette can be recovered from the Wakh Sind Barracks, the locale visited during “Over the Fence”, at the eastern end of the barracks. Locate the six small houses and head into the house fourth-farthest from the rest of the base.

Planet Scape

  • This cassette can be found at Sakhra Ee Village, in the southern guard station

Quiet Life

  • This tape can be found at Mfinda Oilfield, in a building at the southeast end of the field

Quiet’s Theme

  • This cassette is given to players for triggering a specific event. At the end of Mission 45, follow the footprints until you’re shown a short cinematic.

Rebel Yell

  • This tape is found at the Mountain Relay Base, in a building west of the bridge.

Ride A White Horse

  • This is found at Lamar Khaate Palace, inside the north guard station

She Blinded Me With Science.

  • This tape can be found at the security outpost between Da Wialo Kallai and Da Ghwandai Khar, in small building near Shin Basin

Sins Of The Father

  • This tape is given to players for finishing Mission 30

Snake Eater

  • The best tape in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can be recovered from the western guard station at Munoko ya Nioka Station

Take On Me

  • This cassette is recovered from Yakho Oboo Supply Outpost. Head to the southern end of the base and you’ll find the tape on the first floor of a heavily-guarded building.

Take The D.W.

  • This cassette is found at Smasei Fort, in the large tent being used as a communications outpost.

The Tangerine

  • This tape can be found in the east guard station at Spugmay Keep

Too Shy

  • This cassette can be found in a tent, situated next to an anti-air radar installation, at Kiziba Camp

True

  • This tape can be found inside Kungenga Mine

You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)

  • This cassette can be found in the north guard station at Lufwa Valley
