This guide for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe helps players in unlocking the Golden Mario alternate skin for Metal Mario and getting all the parts for the Golden Kart. Nintendo

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a fast-paced racing game that features a ton of tracks. The game also has many fan-favorite characters from the franchise.

One of the racers that players can unlock in the game is Golden Mario. You can also get his personal Golden Kart. In this article, you can learn exactly how to unlock this shining racer and get all the parts of his unique kart.

Using Golden Mario as a racer is one of the best ways to show off your skills to other players in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This is because of the time and effort that are needed to actually be able to use this racer on the track.

Fortunately, unlocking Golden Mario and getting all the parts of his Golden Kart is not a complicated thing to understand.

Golden Mario

The first thing to note about Golden Mario is that this is not a new character but rather an alternate skin for Metal Mario. The way that you can unlock this character is by challenging the Grand Prix at 200cc, according to Screen Rant.

This is the highest speed setting that you can choose from in the game and is sometimes difficult for some racers to dive into. What makes this even more difficult is that some race tracks were not designed for this fast of a speed.

You also need to complete each cup and have the highest overall score so that you can claim first place.

Golden Kart Parts

There are three Golden Kart parts that players can unlock to deck out Golden Mario in an all-shiny racing machine. These are the Golden Standard (Kart Body), Gold Wheels, and Gold Glider.

The Gold Standard can be acquired by completing all Cups up to and including 150cc and Mirror. You should also have at least one gold star on each to actually get the part that you want, Nintendo Life said.

The best way to do this is simply to win all of the 150cc race tracks as they also count as wins for the 100cc and 50cc races. Other than that, you just need to beat the Mirror Cups to get this shiny kart body.

The Gold Wheels can be unlocked by beating the Staff Ghost's time on every single course in the game's Time Trials mode.

Lastly, the Gold Glider can be acquired by collecting coins in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This is actually a lot easier than the Wii U version that required players to get coins, according to Eurogamer.
