Our countdown of the 20 best "Adventure Time" episodes continues. We're finally ready to crack the Top 10. The trend has been toward latter season episodes, defying many peoples' assumption that "Adventure Time" has seen a dip in quality over time. But will the Top 10 reverse the trend, pulling more episodes from earlier seasons of "Adventure Time"? Nope! And while there are a lot of great continuity-free episodes of "Adventure Time," one of the show's great strengths is its slow attrition of continuity, as we get more and more involved with the immense cast of "Adventure Time" characters inhabiting the Land of Ooo.

10. Adventure Time Season 6, Episode 10 “Something Big”
“Adventure Time” goes to war and the Ancient Psychic Tandem War Elephant is back. That’s enough to crack the top 10 best “Adventure Time” episodes so far.
Best Line - “Yes. I can fly and do lasers from my nose.”
9. Adventure Time Season 5, Episode 50 & 51 “Lemonhope”
Ditch everyone except one of the most annoying characters on “Adventure Time” and you have “Lemonhope.” Somehow, it’s great. Young Lemonhope tries to dodge his responsibility for overthrowing evil dictator, Lemongrab, taking him on a widescreen adventure as fantastical as anything previously seen on “Adventure Time.” If that final song doesn’t get to you, you may be a lich.
Best Line - “Law, order, harp smashing… We’ve have it all. Mm, the pleasure.”
8. Adventure Time Season 5, Episode 14 “Simon & Marcy”
The best look back at the shared history between the Ice King and Marceline, both adorable and tragic. The theme song from “Cheers” plays an integral role in the plot, which may be the weirdest and best thing to ever occur on an episode of “Adventure Time.” Plus, we get some insight into how the Candy Kingdom and the Land of Ooo came crawling out of the radioactive muck of the Old World.
Best Line - "Making your way in the world today takes everything you got. Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot. Sometimes you want to go, where everybody knows your name! Filmed before a live studio audience... NORM!"
7. Adventure Time Season 6, Episode 12 “Ocarina”
The real world intrudes more into “Adventure Time,” with an episode entirely about Jake and his failure to take on adult responsibilities. Anyone familiar with big city real estate will sympathize when Jake and Finn can only afford to lease a ladder. The relationship between Kim Kil Whan, one of Jake and Lady Rainicorn’s five kids, and his father is both funny and sad. Nothing like a super stretchy business suit.
Best Line – “Kim Kil Whan's a real out-loud flim-flammer, and that's okay, I guess.”
6. Adventure Time Season 6, Episode 19 “Is That You?”
There are a lot of mind-bending, experimental episodes of “Adventure Time,” but “Is That You?” multi-tasks like no other. Not only do we get back Prismo, but it’s also funny, and the weirdest clip show episode you’ll ever witness. The multiple time-streams plot is almost too elaborate to grasp, but with an episode this fun it hardly matters.
Best Line – “The thread count on this is in the thousands, and it’s filled with… down feathers of a baby griffin! That’s illegal!”
