Just in time for the debate, presidential hopeful Donald Trump has something to say about the Starbucks coffee cup controversy.

Warning : More ridiculous Trump campaign bluster below.

First of all, he’d like everyone to know he “has Starbucks.” Trump specified, they’re his tenants and because of that he’s feels so close to the “No More Merry Christmas” issue. “I’m speaking against myself,” Trump continues, “I have one of the most successful Starbucks in Trump Tower.”

“By the way, that’s the end of that lease, but who cares,” said Trump. It seems that in Trump’s eyes, owning a Starbucks is an impressive prerequisite to the job description of the President of the United States. “Maybe we should boycott Starbucks, seriously, I don’t care,” he said. How generous of you, tis the season after all.

“If I become president we are all going to be saying Merry Christmas again, that I can tell you,” Trump confidently concluded. Just like you don't care if you lose one Starbucks, the American people don't care if Starbucks cups say Merry Christmas.

Trump was at a pre-debate rally in Springfield Illinois when he expressed these suspiciously passionate feelings toward Christmas time.

An official Starbucks statement from Jeffrey Fields, Vice President of Design & Content, said, “In the past, we have told stories with our holiday cups designs. This year we wanted to usher in the holidays with a purity of design that welcomes all of our stories.”

The press release also reiterated: "Creating a culture of belonging, inclusion and diversity is one of the core values of Starbucks, and each year during the holidays the company aims to bring customers an experience that inspires the spirit of the season. Starbucks will continue to embrace and welcome customers from all backgrounds and religions in our stores around the world."

Trump’s entire message is far from creating a culture of belonging. Even his slogan, “Make America Great Again,” is offensive. He has not been shy to say “Obama is a terrible president” multiple times. I wonder why? When Obama was campaigning, he accused the President of not being a U.S. Citizen, He calls for Mexicans to be deported, pay for and build a new wall. It's not uncommon for the Trump to say offhand comments about women, including Democratic frontrunner, Hillary Clinton.

Trump has had something bad to say about everyone, however, rarely white men.

The “Again” at the end of his slogan should be questioned. When was America greater than it is today? It sounds silly, but Trump’s remarks about the coffee cup and Christmas are extremely telling. Not just because he’s made an ass out of himself again, but what is this man's true agenda? What he may mean by again: another iraq war, more black men shot to death by police, millioins without health insurance, another 2008 crash.

He has only three platform issues listed on his website: Second Amendment rights, tax reform, and immigration. His policies are far from diverse and inclusive. If he’s willing to boycott Starbucks and their lease at the Trump Tower over a red cup because it’s not Christian enough and it doesn’t say Merry Christmas, how far will his ignorance, social insensitivity, and blatant disrespect to people of all backgrounds travel if he becomes President?
