It’s been awhile since Mario Kart 8 has been in discussion between Nintendo fans. But the latest Wii U bundle has just gone on sale and this time will include Mario Kart 8 , one of the highest-selling Wii U titles along with both DLC packs that included the Animal Crossing characters, new stages and the 200cc difficulty.
The Wii U bundle will come with Mario Kart 8 pre-installed with all of the DLC goodness that you can expect for the retail price of $299.99.
It makes sense for Nintendo to try and get a head start on the holiday shopping season as the company tries to sell as many units as possible before the next console is rolled out and with so many titles coming to the Wii U by the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016, fans who don’t own the Wii U already should definitely be getting it.
But of all the games Nintendo could be bundling the Wii U with, why would they choose Mario Kart 8?
Perhaps Nintendo is getting ready to announce more Mario Kart 8 DLC. With all of the new amiibo that are coming out, it would be great to see Mario Kart 8 updated so that you can utilize all of the different amiibo, especially the Skylander amiibo.
A new patch for Mario Kart 8 could go a long way to reinvigorate the game after months of being out on the market and the new Wii U bundle seems to hint at something happening with the game but we will have to wait for any news regarding future DLC or patches.
But what do you think, does the new Mario Kart 8 DLC Wii U bundle mean future updates are in the works? Sound off in the comments section below.
