New screenshots from Styx: Shards of Darkness have been published by Cyanide Studio and Focus Home Interactive, giving fans an early look at the port city we’ll explore in the game’s campaign. There isn’t much to learn from, in part because there aren’t many images to analyze, but it’s enough to keep fans talking while we wait for the next Styx: Shards of Darkness trailer.

The new Styx: Shards of Darkness screenshots were all captured in the port of Korrangar, the heavily-fortified city that serves as the primary setting for the second game in the Styx series. The new images don’t give us any mechanical information about the game, instead focusing on skills and abilities present in Master of Shadows, but the new images serve as early proof fans can expect more diverse environments in Styx’s next adventure. Unlike the first game in the series, which sometimes felt like a series of poorly-lit hallways, Styx: Shards of Darkness will let players explore vibrant outdoor settings in addition to dusty rafters and dark dungeons.
