Nintendo and McDonald’s are partnering up once again to bring new Happy Meal toys starring Mario and the rest of the Mushroom Kingdom cast and are giving away 100 Nintendo Switch consoles to celebrate the release of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe .
From April 25 until May 22, those who purchase a McDonald’s Happy Meal in the U.S. will receive one of eight toys based on Super Mario. The eight toys include Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Yoshi, Invincible Mario, a Red Koopa Shell and 1-Up Mushroom.
Each toy does something special like Invincible Mario’s ability to glow in the dark.
“Nintendo is always looking for ways to expand its brand, and a partnership with the family-friendly McDonald’s restaurants felt like a great fit,” said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing in a press release. “Like Mario, Happy Meals are something both kids and parents grew up with.”
Not only are new Super Mario toys coming to McDonald’s Happy Meals but those who purchase a McDonald’s meal using the McDonald’s mobile app between now and May 22 will be entered into a brand new sweepstakes for a chance to win one of 100 Nintendo Switch Prize Packs. This special prize pack includes a Nintendo Switch system and the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game.
All you have to do is scan and purchase a meal at McDonald’s using the McDonald’s mobile app to enter. Customers get one entry for redeeming any deal in the app and two entries when they purchase a Happy Meal.
