The Season 2 update for developer KT Racing's Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown adds a brand new map for players to explore.
The city of Ibiza, locally known as Eivissa in Catalan, is making a return to the franchise alongside its stunning surroundings. The latest update features new races, events, and challenges that players can tackle.
Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown's Season 2 Update
Players will need to have progressed a little bit through the game's main campaign in order to gain access to Ibiza Island. You can get to the new area by going to the special heliport located in the northern part of Hong Kong Island.
The way to get to Ibiza Island is similar to the way you access Ap Lei Chau, otherwise known as Aberdeen Island, during the early stages of the game.
You need to first reach reputation level 12 and join one of the two clans to unlock Ibiza Island, according to GTPlanet.
The new area features more races and challenges as well as a new organizing body known as "Selene" that is managed by a returning Test Drive Unlimited character. This is a mysterious group that arranges races on Ibiza Island, which has barriers and no traffic.
The dealership also features two brand-new cars for players to unlock: the Ferrari California from Test Drive Unlimited 2 and the Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Xago Edition. The latest update also adds five specially tuned "Selene Edition" vehicles.
Brand New Cars
The latter are all based on currently existing cars in the racing game but have been given aesthetic and performance adjustments. These are the Abarth 500, Alfa Romeo 4C, Alpine A110, Chevrolet Corvette C1, and W Motors Fenyr, PCGamesN said.
On top of adding a brand new map to explore and cars to unlock, the latest update also introduces a ton of quality-of-life improvements to the game. This includes a variety of bug fixes that aim to address its subpar technical performance.
One example of the issues that players have experienced was the servers being problematic to the point that the developer compensated people due to the length of the downtimes. The Season 2 update tries to make the game more stable and polished.
KT Racing is also planning a lot more content for Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown with Season 3. It would be adding a new "Clan War" mode that features competitive live events. The studio also looks to add 30 more clan levels to unlock, according to Traxion.
