Are you ready to board the hype train? That’s because Total War: Warhammer 3 is arriving this year. In this one, players are drawn to the fight between humans and demons. There’s going to be new races and gameplay that’s sure to excite even the veterans. Then again, this is the conclusion to the trilogy.
You can watch the announcement trailer below:
The series started with Total War: Warhammer released in 2016. The game featured factions including Humans, Dwarves, Orcs and Goblins, and the Undead. Upon release, it received favorable reviews with many citing it as a good example for a real-time strategy game. This was followed by Total War: Warhammer 2 launched in 2018. Like the previous title, it also received positive reviews.
In Total War: Warhammer 3, the story shifts to two human kingdoms that mark their debut in the game, which are Kislev and Grand Cathay. The two stand guard against the Realm of Chaos, which introduces factions of the four Chaos Gods in Khorne, Nurgle, Slaanesh, and Tzeentch. Players can expect to see a wide range of legendary heroes, magical powers, giant monsters, and even flying creatures.
Game Director Ian Roxburgh revealed that the plan was to offer a series where players could experience one incredible journey. He added that they’re thankful for all the support players had given for the first two games. Meanwhile, Jon Gillard at Games Workshop shared that their design team had fun developing the armies of both Kislev and Cathay. He added that they’re excited to see how they perform in the game.
The game is priced at $59.99 and preorder is already available and you can do it here. For those wondering, Games Workshop revealed in a post that they are giving bonuses to those who preorder but the details will be released within a few months. Players can get these bonuses whether they preorder now or when the details are announced.
There’s no doubt Warhammer fans are truly pumped up and excited about the third title. The question that needs to be answered is in the coming conflict, are you going to conquer your demons or command them to your will?
