Total War: Warhammer II released a patch beta that makes changes to some abilities. The patch also tweaked the Lizardmen. Additionally, players will be glad to know that Empire War Wagons are now cheaper.
For the abilities, the patch reduced the projectile damage of Kill Shot, Executioner, and Amber Bow. Both Kill Shot and Executioner in particular are now arrow projectile types instead of artillery. The full list of changes to abilities are:
- Amber Bow
- -24% ap projectile damage
- -40% base projectile damage
- -17% bonus vs large
- +0.4 projectile calibration area (+400%)
- -75% explosion detonation radius
- -75% explosion detonation speed
- Executioner
- -50% ap projectile damage
- -45% base projectile damage
- -33% bonus vs large
- Changed projectile type from artillery to arrow
- can be blocked by shields and applies a smaller morale penalty
- Kill Shot
- -45% ap projectile damage
- -45% base projectile damage
- -33% bonus vs large
- Changed projectile type from artillery to arrow
- can be blocked by shields and applies a smaller morale penalty
- Number of uses changed from 3 to 2
- Hand of Gods
- -25% projectile calibration area
As mentioned, changes were made to Lizardmen. Dread Saurian, Shredder of Lustria, and Nakai the Wanderer all have their cost lowered by 100. For this new patch, improvements for Lizardmen include:
- Dread Saurians (all):
- Tweaks to attack animations to help melee targeting
- +3000 mass
- +1000 hit points (on ultra)
- +0.5 acceleration
- +50 building damage
- Razordons (all):
- -10 projectile muzzle velocity
- +10 projectile range
- +10 projectile calibration distance
- -1 second base reload time
Meanwhile for Empire, the changes that came with the patch beta are:
- War Wagons: -50 cost
- War Wagons (Mortar): -100 cost
- The Black Lions: +100 cost
- Markus Wulfhart:
- -7 melee defence
- -18% ap projectile damage
- -17% base projectile damage
- +0.5 projectile calibration area (+100%)
- -70 marksmanship bonus
- Changed projectile type from artillery to arrow
- can be blocked by shields and applies a smaller morale penalty
For those who want to opt in to the patch beta, here are the steps you need to do:
- Right-click on Total War: Warhammer II in your Steam library
- Click Properties and click the Betas tab
- In the drop-down menu, select the Version_1.7.2 option
- Close the window and your build will automatically update
