Good news for those looking for indie games! Ubisoft is adding a curated selection of indie games to the Ubisoft+ subscription. This is not a new thing though, since the initiative had a soft launch this summer with The Last Friend by The Stonebot Studio and A Normal Lost Phone by Accidental Queens.
Besides those two, four more indie titles are added:
- Astrologaster by Nyamyam
- Evan's Remains by Maitan69
- Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark by 6 Eyes Studio
- Lake by Gamious
Each game is going to be available on Ubisoft+ for at least six months. Expect more games to arrive in the Ubisoft+ catalog regularly.
In a statement, Ubisoft Director of Branding and Content Alexia Brumé revealed that this move opens a new chapter in Ubisoft+. She went on to say that they've always aimed at offering the best games regardless of playstyle. Brumé added that they're excited to highlight indie games.
This announcement serves as a new step in the commitment of Ubisoft to support the indie ecosystem. Ubisoft has a lot of global and local initiatives supporting innovation in gameplay, game design and technology, and mentoring and funding creative startups. For Ubisoft, it's all about offering quality, knowledge, and experience and building together the future of the industry.
Enjoy it Now
Aside from indie games, there is another reason to be excited about Ubisoft+. In celebration of the third anniversary of the subscription service, Ubisoft+ Multi-Access is free on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna from September 11 to October 10.
The subscription service features more than 100 Ubisoft games. It allows players to captain a longboat and raid a fort in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla or take out an enemy chopper in Far Cry 6 using an EMP grenade launcher. Players can ride a cargo drone in Watch Dogs: Legion while checking out a gem in Child of Light. Those who want to experience nostalgia can choose to get classic games like the Prince of Persia and Rayman series.
For now, Ubisoft+ is available on PC, Stadia, and Amazon Luna. There are plans, however, to offer it on PlayStation and Xbox in the future.
