If the recent leak is accurate, then September 10 is going to be a great day for Assassin’s Creed fans. Tom Henderson, a credible leaker in the gaming industry, made some interesting claims yesterday.
According to him, Ubisoft has six Assassin’s Creed in development and five of them will be revealed at Ubisoft Forward. Not all the titles are AAA projects though, some are for mobile and VR.
The names of all the games are:
- Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Baghdad setting)
- Assassin’s Creed Project Red (Japan setting)
- Assassin’s Creed Project Hexe (Central Europe setting)
- Assassin’s Creed Project Jade (Mobile/China setting)
- Assassin’s Creed Project Nexus (VR)
- Assassin’s Creed Valhalla DLC
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be the highlight of the entire show, and the only AC game to be discussed in great detail. The game will take players to Baghdad and the protagonist will be a young Basim. Tom claims that the target release date is 2023.
The other two games, Project Red and Project Hexe, are part of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which is a rumored HUB for future AC games.
- Project Red takes place in Japan and its artwork reveals a female samurai-like assassin. However, you will be able to play as both male and female. The game is targeting a 2024 release date.
- Project Hexe will be the darkest AC game and is set during the Witch Hunt era in 16th Century Europe. The game was previously known as Project Neo and is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal. Players can expect a 2026 release date.
Valhalla fans will be happy to know that Ubisoft plans to support the game even further. One of the projects in development is the final DLC for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. More info about it should be revealed at the upcoming event.
Project Jade is a smaller title, a mobile game that will take players to China. The only other AC game set in China was one chapter of the spin-off game Assassin’s Creed Chronicles.
Project Nexus is the last game mentioned by the leaker. Almost nothing is known about the game except that it’s a VR title. Tom claims that it is uncertain if the game will be revealed at the event.
