PlayStation just released a statement about some stolen Uncharted 4 games. Turns out they were taken in transit and have started to surface in the United Kingdom. People started to show off their copies they got through Amazon or UK retailers, but we don’t know yet if those are related.
“We know that very many of you have been looking forward with great anticipation and excitement to the latest masterpiece from Naughty Dog,” Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, said in a statement: “From what I have played of Nathan Drake’s latest adventure, I can tell you that it is very much worth the wait. As with most Naughty Dog games, the unfolding story is such an integral part of the experience and for this reason we wanted to warn you to beware of the potential for spoilers to be posted by people with access to stolen copies of the game.”
Yoshida says Sony will do everything in its power to keep the spoilers from getting out and ruining gamer’s experiences. There’s no mention of players who have their copies already getting into trouble for playing their potentially ill-gotten goods.
If you haven’t gotten a copy yet, you’ll just have to wait until May 10 like the rest of us to play Uncharted 4.
