Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is coming out Tuesday, but dedicated gamers will be able to start playing right at midnight if they know what to do. Downloading via PSN is always an option, but if you want the pre-order bonuses or proper release experience, you’ll want to call your local retailers to see if they have any plans.
Check out GameStop’s store locator for where you can find your local GameStop and pick up Uncharted 4. Pre-ordering at GameStop will get you the following:
Blu-ray Disc with the game
GameStop Exclusive Multiplayer Booster Pack and Phurba Dagger Taunt
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Outfit, Golden Weapon Skin, and Uncharted Points
A Chance To Win A Trip Around The World For Two
If GameStop's not your thing, Best Buy, and all other stores, also will be offering a bonus. Any person who pre-orders gets the Drake’s Fortune outfit as well as a Best Buy-exclusive Heist Drake outfit. Check out which of the Best Buys near you are opening at midnight for the release of Uncharted 4 by checking their online store locator.
Lastly, if you are pre-ordering through Amazon, you’ll also get a bonus. Gamers going this route will get a snow camo skin and gold skin that can be applied all weapons. They will also be treated to the Amazon-exclusive Desert Drake skin and the Drake’s Fortune skin that other pre-orders get as well.
If you're getting your copy of Uncharted 4 from either Target or Walmart then you'll need to call your local store and find out if they're doing a midnight release. Sometimes the Target/Walmart strategy can pay off since they're not the stores most gamers go to for midnight releases and the lines can be shorter. However, every location is different so your local store might not be doing an Uncharted 4 midnight release. Use the Target store locator and Walmart store locator to find out which place near you will let you get to Drake’s final adventure first.
If you want all of the exclusive outfits, go for the super-special Libertalia Edition. For $119.99, this version of Uncharted 4 comes with the game, a 12-inch Drake statue, all of the pre-order skins, a few extra exclusive in-game items, an art book and stickers. For those who don’t want to splurge, a Special Edition is also available for $79.99 that comes with just the artbook and stickers. Both versions also come with a steelcase for the game disc.
