Forgiven may not be going to the military just yet. According to a Greek News Site , he may be able to defer his deployment for six months, allowing him to finish the split and attend MSI. He won’t be able to attend Worlds though, if he does defer. On Monday, the Greek army told Forgiven that he may be able to defer for social reasons, if he has the right paperwork.
On February 25, H2K’s Forgiven had a teary interview after his win against Fnatic. He told Dash that a letter came for him that morning saying he would have to go into military service. The community has been sharing its support, creating petitions to send to the Greek army. The most popular one is “Free Forgiven from Military Service,” which has already racked up over 71,000 signatures.
Forgiven is one of the best bot laners in Europe, gaining notoriety for his fast reflexes and skillful play. If he does manage to get his military service postponed, H2K looks like a contender to win the EU LCS Spring Split.
