New planes and tanks have been added to War Thunder in the latest major update called Apex Predators.
The Apex Predators Update is headlined by the new Rank VIII aircraft, the Soviet MiG-29 (9-13), and the F-16A Fighting Falcon. The MiG-29 boasts incredible speeds due to its turbo jet engines, and it’s equipped with accurate radar and optical systems that help guide its anti-air missiles, making it superior in dogfighting.
The F-16A Fighting Falcon is also quite fast, but unlike the MiG-29, its speed is complemented by a suite of destructive weaponry. Its M61A1 20mm Vulcan can shred enemy vehicles with ease, and its collection of air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles will ensure that the job is finished without a hitch. The F-16A is available to the USA, China, Israel, and Italy.
For the tank enthusiasts out there, this patch brings some impressive tanks as well, most notably the M728. The M728 is a Rank V medium tank for the USA equipped with the 165mm demolition cannon, one of the largest caliber weapons available to ground vehicles in War Thunder.
