War Thunder has revealed the details of the Pages of History for January 2023, with a total of eight tasks spread out across the whole month. Finishing each task will give players a trophy and a reward and those able to complete all tasks are awarded with a unique in-game player icon. For January 2023, it's going to be Dmitry Osatyuk.
Dmitry Osatyuk served as the commander of a tank company on the Leningrad Front. On January 12, 1943, his light tank was cut off from his company by three heavy German tanks. Despite the odds, he used himself as bait and led the enemy tanks under artillery fire. He then defeated the enemy in close combat with machine guns, cannon, and even the tracks of his tank.
Because of this, on January 18, his company became the first to meet the troops of the Volkhov Front and opened a land corridor to Leningrad, breaching its blockade. On January 21, his tank was destroyed but he managed to pull the wounded driver from the tank and got him to safety. If that wasn't enough, he went on to continue fighting in another tank.
Trophy Rewards
Players able to finish an individual task get a trophy and one of these rewards:
- 20-50% RP booster for 3-10 battles
- 20-50% SL booster for 3-10 battles
- 3-5 universal backup vehicles
- 1 day of premium account
- A random camouflage for ground vehicles

For the January Pages of History, here are the tasks:
- Operation Bolo (January 1 to January 4)
- Considered as one of the most successful battles of the US during the Vietnam War.
- Operation Nasr (January 4 to January 7)
- The largest tank battle of the Iran-Iraq war.
- Battle of Luzon (January 8 to January 11)
- A weeklong landing involving more than 175,00 Allied troops facing constant attacks from enemy kamikaze pilots.
- Vistula-Oder Offensive (January 12 to January 15)
- A push that eventually led to the Soviet army winning against the German forces.
- Breaking the Blockade of Leningrad (January 16 to January 19)
- A well-planned offensive to push away the Wehrmacht forces.
- Battle of Anzio (January 20 to January 23)
- A large-scale operation to breach the Gustav Line in Central Italy.
- Voronezh-Kastornoye Offensive Operation (January 24 to January 27)
- A Soviet operation to destroy the German Second Army.
- Battle of Khafji (January 28 to January 31)
- The first major battle of the Gulf War.
