A limited-time event has been launched in War Thunder in celebration of Independence Day. From July 4 to July 7, those who can play three battles using American vehicles can receive the "US Independence Day" decal. The vehicles must have rank III or higher and activity of not less than 70%.
That's not all, from July 4 to July 11, players have the chance to get two rare packs in the Gaijin store which are the Sabre Skyblazers Pack (F-86F-35) and P-38K Pack. How's that for an Independence Day celebration?
Bring Out the Fireworks
It won't be a celebration without the fireworks, but there are some changes. For example, fireworks won't be displayed anymore on the battlefield because they bothered some players. Instead, they're now going to be in the hangar of the player.
For worldwide celebrations, national holidays have been added in countries where War Thunder is translated. Finally, players can now define when the fireworks are displayed just for them.
Screenshot Competition
There's still some time left to join the latest Screenshot Competition. This is the 22nd edition of the competition which started July 2 and will last until July 9. The rules are simple: all players need to submit a screenshot to the War Thunder Steam Community Hub with the tag #WTscreen22. By the way, the theme is "Tango Down."
A total of six winners are to be selected with three coming from selected judges and the other three getting the highest rating in the community. Each winner receives 300GE.
Here are other details of the competition:
- The one who submits the screenshot needs to be the author of the screenshot.
- The screenshot needs to be new. Screenshots previously published or used in other competitions are not allowed.
- Only raw screenshots from the game are accepted.
- Editing software or any other visual enhancements are not allowed.
- Filters and settings built into the game can be used.
- Replay functionality built into the game is allowed.
