A demo for Watch Dogs 2 is now available to download for free on PS4. Those looking to try out Watch Dogs 2 on Xbox One will have to wait until Jan. 24.
The Watch Dogs 2 demo is a full version of the game that you can play for three hours. This means you can do the single-player missions, the online co-op or just cruise around the Bay Area for as long as you want, if you want to be playing for 180 minutes or less.
If you are impressed with your demo time, you’ll be able to buy Watch Dogs 2 and simply keep going. Progress is saved, and all of your unlocks will carry over.
iDigitalTimes gave Watch Dogs 2 a three out of five stars. The main complaints we had include the game’s repetitive mission structure and ludonarrative dissonance between cheering for the goofy hacker protagonist Marcus, and watching him gun down endless supplies of innocent policemen and security guards.
So what do you think? Will you try out Watch Dogs 2 now that this demo is available? Have you already been playing Ubisoft’s latest open-world game? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
