A ton of new Watch Dogs 2 information has been released by Ubisoft, and it confirms everything we already know. We also have some new information as well, so let’s dive in here.

The new anti-hero in Watch Dogs 2 is named Marcus Holloway. Born in Oakland, Holloway has become the target of ctOS 2.0’s invasive crime prediction algorithm. This pushes the computer whizz into joining Dedsec, the hacker organization determined to bring ctOS down. Based on the trailer, Marcus is skilled in shooting, parkour, fighting and using his cell phone to hack into things across San Francisco.

San Francisco is the focal point of Watch Dogs 2, but players will be able to explore south into Silicon Valley and east to Oakland in addition to the hilly streets of The City By The Bay. It might even be possible to go north towards the redwoods in the North Bay, based on footage in the trailer showing Marcus racing across the Golden Gate Bridge.

Hacking, driving, shooting, melee fighting and parkour will all return to Watch Dogs in the sequel, but there are some other interesting things to be found in the launch trailer. We see Marcus using a 3D printer to print out a gun, so unlocking new upgrade plans to make your own weapons seems like it will be coming. We also see glimpses of parties, so maybe you’ll get to throw your own ragers.

The Watch Dogs app will also likely make a return, based on the posting for Watch Dogs 2 on Amazon. The posting mentions you can connect with friends to play co-op or pvp content, meaning that surprisingly fun hacking mobile game will be back.

As for the story, it seems to almost be a carbon copy of the original Watch Dogs. One guy teams up with Dedsec to take down ctOS through hacking, killing innocent guards and more. We’ll see if the hinted Abstergo-ctOS crossover becomes more pronounced though, as Ubisoft starts tying their games into a bigger universe.

So what do you think? Are you interested in hacking through San Francisco in Watch Dogs 2? What else would you like to know about the sequel? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
