It’s Xur day, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found standing in Tower North, near the Speaker's Observatory.
The Age of Triumph continues this week, giving the Destiny community one last batch of objectives to complete (and new armor to collect) before everyone settles in to wait for the Destiny 2 release date. Most of the refreshed raids have been released by Bungie and many players have already claimed the updated exotics added in Destiny’s last big patch. But many players still have plenty of Record Book entries left to complete, and some are still hoping to round out their collection of exotic gear before the long-awaited Destiny sequel heads to stores in September. So there hasn’t been any shortage of Guardians waiting for the Agent of the Nine when he returns every Friday morning.
Xur’s last few trips haven’t exactly been noteworthy. The traveling item vendor had been on something of a hot streak, giving the Destiny community another chance to add beloved gear to their collections. The Agent of the Nine closed out March offering highly-coveted and rarely seen items like the Fr0st-EE5 and Astrocyte Verse. But Xur’s selection has been underwhelming during the month of April. Many of the items offered during the vendor’s recent trips have been pieces of equipment that we’ve seen dozens of times over the last three years. Even Shinobu’s Vow, a pair of Hunter gauntlets that weren’t added until The Taken King, have appeared 3 times in the last two months. So we can only hope that the Agent of the Nine’s latest collection of exotic gear proves to be a bit more eye-catching than his last few offerings.

There are also some new additions to Xur's inventory sheet this week: weapon bundles. Destiny players can purchase Invective, with the Storm's Reproach ornament, or Telesto, with the Lingering Vestige ornament, in exchange for 30 Strange Coins. The Agent of the Nine has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, Xur is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks! And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with green and blue contrails available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis (in stacks of three and 10) and Glass Needles.
Destiny: Rise of Iron is currently available on PS4 and Xbox One.
