It’s Xur day, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found standing in The Reef.
Things are finally starting to slow down a bit in the video game industry. Some gamers are celebrating the arrival of the PS4 Pro, while others plan to spend the vast majority of the weekend on the newly-released Dishonored 2. But the latest appearance from Xur will be more than enough to excite the Destiny community this weekend, just as it does each and every Friday morning. The only question is whether or not the Agent of the Nine’s latest assortment of exotic items will be enough for that excitement to hold throughout the weekend.
Last week, Xur’s inventory was relatively disappointing for those who’ve been part of the Destiny community the longest; particularly if you have no use for the updated Red Death the Agent of the Nine was selling seven days ago. Items like The Taikonaut or Young Ahamkara’s Spine have higher Light values now, to reflect the transition from Year Two to Year Three, but it doesn’t make it any easier to get excited about items we’ve seen dozens of times over the last two years. But you never know when Xur is going to show up with something truly exciting, like Gjallarhorn or one of the Year Three exotics unique to Destiny: Rise Of Iron. Let’s just cross our fingers and hope it’s this weekend.

Legacy Engram - Primary Weapon
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks. And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with green and blue contrails available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Glass Needles.
Xur is also selling weapon ornaments this weekend. Players have two options:
- Prototype - Changes the appearance of Truth
- The Wolves Remember - Changes the appearance of The Young Wolf's Howl
