Xur Day is here, Destiny fans!
This week, Xur can be found standing in Tower North, near the Speaker's Observatory
It’s been another action-packed week for gamers around the globe. Mafia 3 has been on store shelves for a full week now. Gears of War 4 is destroying sleep schedules around the globe. WWE fans have a new game to distract them until Road to Wrestlemania forces the company to write halfway decent television programming again. It’s a pretty great time to be a gamer. And that’s especially true for the Destiny community, many of whom have been farming Strange Coins throughout the week in hopes of seeing more Destiny: Rise Of Iron gear on Xur’s inventory sheet this weekend. It might seem like a tall order, given how frequently we’ve seen repeated offerings from the Agent of the Nine over the last two years. But Xur has been on something of a hot streak lately and many Destiny players are hoping it will continue.
Last week, Xur stunned the Destiny community when he returned to the Tower with not one but two new Year Three exotic items. Titans rejoiced at the opportunity to purchase the Thagomizers and Hunters were simlarly overjoyed to add Shinobu’s Vow to their personal collection. Warlocks weren’t quite as lucky, getting their umpteenth chance to purchase Light Beyond Nemesis, but it was only two weeks ago that they were the only class with the option to buy something new and exciting from the Agent of the Nine.

Exotic Engram - Gauntlet
As always, Xur has plenty of other goodies for Destiny players to spend their Strange Coins, too. In addition to the exotic wares, the Agent of the Nine is also selling a handful of other curios, including Three of Coins stacks. And Destiny players will also find the usual legendary Sparrows upgrades, with blue and purple contrails available this week, along with Motes of Light, Heavy Ammo Synthesis and Glass Needles.
Xur is also selling weapon ornaments again this weekend. Players have two options:
- Moonglow - Changes the appearance of Hawkmoon
- Storm's Reproach - Changes the appearance of Invective
