Warner Bros Studios has moved up the Wonder Woman movie release date by three weeks, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Seeing Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman was one of the best parts of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, so it’s a smart move to give fans a film sooner than later.
We’ve already seen the first image of the Wonder Woman movie cast featuring the heroine’s mother Queen Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen), and her aunts General Antiope (Robin Wright) and Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli). Wonder Woman is a demigod, whose father is none other than Zeus himself. She is extremely special to the Amazons in Themyscira, as she’s the only child that ever lived on the island.
However, being the only child also made Wonder Woman a source of conflict amongst the Amazonian women. For example, her mother Hippolyta wants to protect her from the outside world, but Antiope wants to prepare her to fight. Wonder Woman eventually leaves the island and learns more about humanity than she asked for. Wonder Woman is slated to hit theaters on June 2, 2017.
