For those looking to celebrate the Lunar New Year differently, head over to World of Tanks. There's a new special Hidden Tiger event where everyone has the chance to earn a bunch of prizes. The event and corresponding rewards are available until February 7.
The event is composed of two Chapters: the Shadow of the Predator (Chapter I) and Tiger Leap (Chapter II). Those able to unlock and finish Chapter II missions get even more rewards.
Chapter I
In Shadow of the Predator, players need to hunt for the WZ-114. This Tier IX Premium item is available for free for those able to complete 10 consecutive Stages by fulfilling missions for mastery or commitment, all in Random Battles. Progress can be tracked through a special banner in the Garage without opening a separate Challenge tab.
Details of this chapter include:
- Missions for commitment have to be performed using Tier VI–X vehicles.
- Results only count for those who can finish in the top 10 on their team by XP earned at the end of the battle.
- It doesn't matter whether the team wins or loses.
- Missions for mastery are more complex but fulfilling them saves players’ time.
- Players can complete these tasks using Tier IX–X vehicles.
Chapter II
Chapter II can be accessed by finishing Chapter I or buying the WZ-114 bundle. Complete 10 additional daily Chapter II missions to get special rewards for each. Rewards are only obtained in Random Battles and only in the WZ-114. Mission conditions can be viewed and progress tracked on a separate tab in the event's interface.
Players who can complete any eight Chapter II missions can get their hands on the Tiger Claw 3D style, available exclusively for the WZ-114. This unique custom look is inspired by the mighty Water Tiger and depicted on the vehicle's hull and turret in a combat jump. The main feature though is the two states: full and partial. By default, players can see the full version with a tiger’s head and red fireworks on the gun. However, it's possible to disable these two elements in the game client.
