A new patch for World of Warships Blitz is now available on all platforms. Update 5.4 introduces a new category of commanders to the game.
World of Warships Blitz now has Epic Commanders. This is a new category placed between Normal and Legendary Commanders. There are eight Epic Commanders added in Update 5.4, and each provides players with two special skills that help improve various aspects of their ships.
Mórrígan, for example, is an Epic Commander from the UK with Daredevil+ and Inertia Fuse High Explosive Shell+ skills. Daredevil reduces rudder shift time by 25% while increasing max traverse speed by 10%. It activates when the ship has less than 25% of its max HP. On the other hand, Inertia Fuse High Explosive Shell increases the main battery’s high explosive (HE) shell penetration by 15%.
Jesse B. Oldendorf of the USA comes with one of the two new skills added in Update 5.4, Crossing the T. This skill reduces the maximum shell dispersion of the main battery by 3%. It adds 10% Citadel damage to the main battery as well.
Japan’s Raizō Tanaka has the new Torpedo Squadron skill. It adds one engine accelerator, plus 50 additional damage by torpedoes to modules on enemy ships, and also reduces torpedo concealment by 20%.

Aside from the introduction of Epic Commanders, a new map is added to World of Warships Blitz called the Loop. This map contains two groups of Portuguese islands situated in the Atlantic Ocean. Because the islands provide plenty of opportunities for defense, players who wish to invade will have to plan their attacks accordingly.
