World of Warships: Legends is starting a new campaign today, March 9. It’s going to give players a chance to get a premium Russian cruiser during the campaign, which runs until April 12.
The new campaign is titled “Taken By Storm” with the top prize being the Tier VII Russian cruiser Ochakov. This campaign gives players the chance to finish 100 milestones.
The Top Prize
Let’s take a quick look first at the campaign’s top prize. The name Ochakov comes from a Russian victory over the fortress of the same name. The ship is a compact light cruiser that can take on different roles, though it should be noted that firepower is not her main focus. Still, the ship does have ballistics, shell performance, and even reload speed. She also has access to other tools like radar, sonar, and long-range torpedoes.
To get the Ochakov, players must get 2,475 Renown. There are different ways to get Renown and you can learn them here.
British Heavy Cruiser
The Ochakov isn’t the only one that’s arriving. There’s also the British heavy cruiser line, which is now available. These classic British cruisers offer what can be described as a rather interesting kit. The ships have consistent guns that can batter enemy ships along with single-launch torpedoes. They also have a powerful heal and sonar. The Albemarle, in particular, is available at Tier VII and combines all of what’s been mentioned along with radar on top. The disadvantages of these new ships are in their gun range and maneuverability.
Legendary-Tier Ship
Two new legendary-tier ship projects are now available as well. There’s the American destroyer Gearing equipped with six five-inch (127 mm) guns and long-range torpedoes, specially designed for Legendary-tier battles. The second one is the British battleship Conqueror outfitted with twelve-gun salvo and high-explosive or short-fused armor-piercing shells.
Players can now start researching these ships through the Research Bureau along with the other Legendary-tier ships.
St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick’s Day is almost here and World of Warships: Legends is joining the celebrations. Players get the chance to grab Belfast along with some goodies from the Pot of Gold. This is a container that ensures doubloons and camo. It also offers one special luck in the form of a very green permanent camouflage for the cruiser.
