Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft's subscription service that offers hundreds of games for one monthly fee, is expanding once again starting on Jan. 1. Ten more games will be added to the service in the new year, bringing the total up to 164 games.
The new additions include some big hits like Bayonetta and Injustice: Gods Among Us. For more recent games, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes joins Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. All 10 new additions to Xbox Game Pass are as follows:
NBA Playgrounds
Injustice: Gods Among Us
Devil May Cry 4 SE
Fuzion Frenzy (Xbox Original version)
Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes
Deadlight: Director’s Cut
Zoo Tycoon
WRC 5: World Rally Championships
Bayonetta
Tecmo Bowl Throwback
The full list of games in the Xbox Game Pass program can be found on the Major Nelson website. In addition to the previously mentioned games, highlights include Mad Max, Halo 5, Sunset Overdrive, Payday 2 and many, many more. All games on the list can be downloaded by subscribers for free, and can be played as long as you maintain your subscription. Xbox Game Pass owners can also buy the games (and their associated DLC) at a discount, and can keep playing them if they end their Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Microsoft is also running a special promotion for Xbox Game Pass. Any new Xbox Game Pass subscriber who signs up from now until Jan. 4 will only be charged $1 for the first month. That’s a crazy good deal considering some of the great games that are included in the program, like the BioShock and Gears of War series.
As an added incentive, Microsoft will donate $10 to GameChangers for every Xbox Game Pass subscription sold between now and Jan. 4. GameChangers is a nonprofit organization that gives video games and other support to children in hospitals around the world. More information on Microsoft’s charity fundraising efforts this holiday season can be found here.
