The game is set in the world of Engardin created by a great deity, who left four Goliaths and departed the world. The Goliaths stood by their different divine callings and made sure to uphold the order and flow of this world. As a result, the lives in Engardin reincarnated and multiplied.
However, the ever-expanding ambitions of humans led to a protracted war versus the Goliaths. The world was soon engulfed in flames and a huge explosion called The Razing brought a swift end to the conflict but also devastated the Holy Grounds. This broke the divine order and caused the lives to wither away, pushing the age of mankind to an end.
The survivors were scattered across the world, and being severed from the Well of Mankind, they were now unable to reincarnate. So, they banded together and formed settlements. Years since the great cataclysm, the remaining human settlements are now suddenly attacked by mystic forces.
In one of these human settlements, a young amnesiac girl and student of Aros named Renee becomes the lone survivor. Determined to not only find her lost mentor but also recover her forgotten memories, she now starts a journey that sets into motion a series of events that will determine the fate of the new world.
