Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp just ended a quick Valentine's Day event during which you could nab a special decoration for your campground. Never one to rest on its laurels, Nintendo has already introduced a new event in the mobile version of Animal Crossing : a winter-themed promotion called Crystal Collection. Beginning Feb. 16, and running throughout Feb. 24, you can collect crystal shards by completing various tasks. Then you can use them to make new items, which you’re definitely going to want.
Crystal shards are a new crafting material introduced in the game and can be used to create special crystal items. They're pretty simple to amass, too. Specifically, you can earn 1-5 shards by completing requests for animals, 20-30 from the Quarry, and 5 to 40 shards by completing Timed Goals. These can include completing requests for visiting animals, collect a select number of items, giving kudos, or any combination of quests that need to be finished.
You can create nine furniture items and two clothing items with the crystal shards, of which you'll need to collect about 465 to construct everything. Among the items are a lamp, a tree, and more. You can earn items like the Crystal Shelves and Snow Princess Top by completing special Event Challenges. Here's a complete list of crafting requirements and all the new items:
Blue Rug: 15 crystal shards and 100 bells
Crystal Bed: 80 crystal shards and 500 bells
Crystal Gazebo: 150 crystal shards and 500 bells
Crystal Lamp: 40 crystal shards and 300 bells
Crystal Mist: 10 crystal shards and 100 bells
Crystal Mist Elite: 10 crystal shards and 100 bells
Crystal Table: craft Crystal Tree
Crystal Tree: 80 crystal shards and 500 bells
Large Crystal: 40 crystal shards and 300 bells
Snow Princess Wig: 40 crystal shards and 300 bells
Snow Princess Top: Craft Crystal Lamp
You've got plenty of time to get crafting if you want to collect all the new items, so get out there and start looking around for the new shards. You'll definitely want to add these iridescent selections to your menagerie of decorations. Keep an eye out for new events coming down the line in Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp , as there’s been a wide selection already in 2018.
