Apex Legends Season 9 Legacy is less than two weeks away. This season will release on every platform on May 4 and will bring tons of cool new content to the game. It will include a new legend, Valkyrie, a new weapon, battle pass, cosmetics, and much more. The “Stories of the Outlander” trailer was released a couple of days ago but now, the developer, Respawn Entertainment, is back with yet another fresh trailer.
Valkyrie Abilities
The Legacy Launch trailer is here and oh boy does it look good. Keep in mind that it’s not the actual gameplay trailer. It’s an animated trailer that sets up the story and teases abilities with Valkyrie showcased in action. Now, there is no doubt that her ability is flying around the map as she has access to a jetpack, which gives her better mobility. Her jetpack can also fire rockets at enemies, making her a great Legend to attack other Legends from above. Move away Horizon, guess who has the height advantage now.
New Game Mode - Arena
The trailer revealed that the World’s Edge map will be coming back in some capacity. Ash, one of the antagonists from Titanfall 2, is also involved in the Apex games and is doing some shady stuff. A new game mode called Arena was heavily teased as well and its gameplay will be shown on April 26. Will it be a time-limited event or a permanent mode? I guess we'll know soon enough. I also loved the old banter between Mirage and Wraith.
Apex Legends is currently available for free on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch. A mobile version is planned as well.
