Update: PS4 v504 ETA is Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. EST. Read more details here.
-----------------------------
Ark: Survival Evolved v254 just came to PC, and it introduced the Tek Tier and four new Dinos to players on Windows. In that regard, PS4 and Xbox One owners may be wondering when they’ll get that slice of new content. According to the latest console patch notes, the expected release ETA is Feb. 14.
This date was technically revealed shortly after the Tek Tier was delayed to Jan. 30, but we thought it best to offer a PSA for those who had missed the news or forgotten about it.
In terms of patch notes, the PS4 and Xbox One versions are the exact same despite having different version numbers. Here’s what to expect from Xbox build v750 and PS4 build v504.
- All PC equivalent content up & functionality through v254.x
- Per-Pixel Painting (Survivors, Dinos, Canvases, etc)
- A Super-Secret New Feature
- Primitive+ Mega Update
As usual there will be more updates made to the list as we get closer to Feb. 14.
This week’s PC patch notes have a more detailed look at what’s included. The Tek Tier is mostly for accomplished endgame players, but other survivors can also try out new hairstyle features and tame new beasts. The Ovis is a passive sheep, the Basilosaurus is a shallow-water dolphin, Baryonyx is a fast-swimming dinosaur and the Purlovia makes a nice guard dog.
Ark: Survival Evolved is available now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, OS X and Linux. Be sure to check out our v254 guide for full details on how to make the most of the Tek Tier.
