In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players already encounter creatures and beings of myth and legend - from cyclopean giants, to the descendants of Odysseus, to iconography depicting the power of the Olympians - even in the base game. However, with the Fate of Atlantis DLC, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey takes players even deeper into Greek mythology as they discover what happened to the lost city of Atlantis.
Similar to The Legacy of the First Blade, the Fate of Atlantis DLC will arrive in three parts, or episodes. The first episode went live yesterday, and is entitled Fields of Elysium. The first part of Fate of Atlantis has players traverse through the afterlife. As players journey to Elysium, they can encounter the gods themselves and do battle with the beasts and creatures of Greek legend. The Fields of Elysium episode comes with plenty of compelling lore, as well as handful of new legendary gear pieces.
Beginning with Fields of Elysium, the Fate of Atlantis saga continues sometime in mid-2019, when the succeeding episodes are scheduled to be released. The second episode will be entitled Torment of Hades while the third will be Judgement of Atlantis.
In addition to an expanded quest-line and new items, the Fate of Atlantis DLC also introduces new Ability Enhancements to provide players with even more customization options when it comes to their play style. In Fields of Elysium, players will be able to enhance their abilities with the power of the Olympian gods, particularly the Ares Bull Charge, the Kronos Time Warp, Ares Madness, and Might of Artemis.
If you have the season pass, you can get to the Fate of Atlantis DLC as soon as you complete the main quest-lines Between New Worlds and Heir of Memories. As long as you have those two quest-lines completed and your character is at or above level 28, you can access the Fate of Atlantis DLC any time.
If you don’t have the season pass, you can get instant access to both Fate of Atlantis and Legacy of the First Blade for $40. However, if you want just the Fate of Atlantis DLC, you can buy it separately for $25.
