Ubisoft has released a breakdown for the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey content this month, and it is expansive.
The update was released on the Assassin’s Creed website and shows what Ubisoft has in store for its players for Odyssey. Firstly, they announced a new Lost Tale of Greece, which are a series of new missions that Ubisoft rolls out monthly for the game in order to add to its already expansive content. This month’s Lost Tale of Greece is titled The Heir of Memories, which follows Layla as she learns that there is more to the Staff of Hermes than what it seems. Layla will then “explore ancient tombs in search of the secrets and actions needed to open the gates to the lost city of Atlantis and discover its mysteries.”
To access this quest, you will need to have already completed the Pythagoras story line. The quest will then automatically appear in your quest log. The Heir of Memories is a prerequisite to The Fate of Atlantis DLC story arc, and must be completed in order to access the DLC’s first episode, Fields of Elysium.
The Fate of Atlantis DLC was recently announced with a new trailer last Tuesday. The overall story arc focuses on a brewing civil war between the gods residing in Elysium, a mythological whole new world which is vastly different to the historical setting of ancient Greece. The DLC’s first episode is expected to drop on April 23, and is immediately available to season pass owners, or can be purchased separately.
New items were also released, including the Sphinx packs. The character pack includes a new gear set, a mount and a scepter. The Sphinx pack also includes new naval items, such as an all-new ship design, a figurehead and a crew theme. Finally, you can recruit a new Sphinx legendary lieutenant for your ship crew who will help you helm the Adrestia. All of the Sphinx packs are available for purchase in the store and at the Oikos of the Olympians.
The update also highlighted the release of custom gear loadouts, which allowed your misthios to create up to five different custom loadouts of your own and change quickly between them.
Ubisoft also announced some new updates for its Assassin’s Creed Rebellion mobile game, as well as a new VR escape room experience named Beyond Medusa’s Gate, coming to various locations on May 13.
