Banner Saga 3, the epic conclusion to the Banner Saga story, is in the works at Stoic. To help with development, the Kickstarter for Banner Saga 3 is now live, and has already earned over 10 percent of the $200,000 goal.
While $200,000 may seem like a lot of money, it’s a pretty small sum for developing a game. The lowest entry for backers is at $20, which will give you a copy of Banner Saga 3. If you add $20 to any pledge, you’ll be able to get both the fantastic Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2 as well.
Those looking to spend the big bucks will be rewarded with hats, in-game names and even the ability to make themselves into an NPC. Obviously, the cooler the reward, the more money you will have to dish out. Stretch goals are also planned for the project, but haven’t been revealed yet.
As for what’s new, it looks like Banner Saga 3 will just continue to do what it has already excelled at. The big hook is that this will be the conclusion of the story started in the original Banner Saga, so make sure you play the first two to get the best experience with Banner Saga 3.
As for when Banner Saga 3 will come out, the estimated release time for all pledge fulfilments as of right now is December 2018. No official release date, or even release window, on the game has been released as of yet. Game development takes time, especially with a small studio like Stoic’s, so this date could change as development rolls on. To help with the development, and to secure your copy of Banner Saga 3, be sure to back the Kickstarter now. The project will finish fundraising on March 7.
