Ben Affleck has revealed the official title for his upcoming Batfleck movie and it’s as simple as you’d expect it to be.
Affleck recently spoke to the Associated Press about his new movie The Accountant. The interviewer asked Affleck the title of his upcoming solo DC movie, to which the actor responded, “The Batman.”
The Batman isn’t as sexy as The Dark Knight , but we’re still interested to see what Affleck will produce. Affleck is set to write and direct his Batman solo movie, which is reportedly close to starting production. Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes revealed a production timeline for The Batman during an interview with The Suicide Squadcast , w h e r e Bewkes told the host the film is about a year away from starting production.
Unfortunately, Affleck didn’t reveal an official release date for The Batman . We do have the official DC movie lineup through the next four years. Check it out below:
Wonder Woman : June 2, 2017
Justice League : Nov. 17, 2017
The Flash : March 16, 2018
Aquaman : July 27, 2018
Untitled DC Film: Oct.5, 2018
Shazam : April 5, 2019
Justice League 2 : June 14, 2019
Untitled DC Film: Nov. 1, 2019
Cyborg : April 3, 2020
Green Lantern Corps : July 24, 2020
If the movie is a year and a half out for production, it’s possible The Batman is the second Untitled DC film with the Nov. 1, 2019 release date. Right now it seems like DC and Warner Bros. Studios are focusing on building other Justice League characters before Batman gets his own film.
